Unlimited Context for AI, for law firms

Your AI research and drafting work, over your own firm's documents: briefs, contracts, memos and prior research. Every answer quotes its exact source, with the file and byte range, checked by code. If the quote does not check out, the answer is "I don't know." Nothing is made up.

Dr. Mnemosynec's Substrate Conduit, version 0.3.13, for Windows (64-bit). The start page has one license box, the download, a sample folder of public documents, and numbered steps.

The fear every firm has about AI

An AI that sounds sure and cites something that does not exist. Courts have sanctioned lawyers for filing AI-invented citations. The Conduit is built the other way around: the AI may only answer with a quote that code finds, word for word, in your own files, and tells you where it found it: the file name, its folder (so the case number, when your folders are named by case) and the exact place in the file. We REQUIRE "I don't know" when it cannot.

Real answers from Conduit 0.3.10, local model, over a demo folder of public USPTO and Texas documents (2026-10-07)

Q: How many months after the provisional application was filed must the nonprovisional application be filed?

A: twelve months. From MPEP_211_claiming_benefit_of_earlier_application.txt, bytes 4882 to 4978: "Filed not later than twelve months after the date on which the provisional application was filed". Quote checked by code against the file.

Q: Which patent examiner was assigned to our client's provisional application?

A: I don't know. Your cards and files do not say this, so nothing was made up.

The demo folder holds a plain-text copy of MPEP section 211 taken from uspto.gov. The answer quotes the MPEP; it is not legal advice, and the lawyer reads the source.

What it does

Quotes, or "I don't know"

Ask a question about a folder of your firm's documents. The answer carries the file name, the byte range and the exact quote. Code re-reads the file and checks the quote before you see it. A quote that does not match is never shown as an answer.

Remembers the conversation

New in 0.3.10. Every question is saved on your computer as a numbered message. Close the Conduit, open it tomorrow, pick the conversation up, and it still knows what "that clause" was. A fact you stated earlier can be quoted back; a question you asked never counts as proof.

Stays on your machine

Runs on Windows, on your own computer. Your files and conversations stay in the Conduit data folder. Sharing between computers is off by default. With a local AI model, nothing leaves the computer at all.

Repeat questions cost nothing

An exact repeat of a question already answered comes back from its saved, checked card with no AI call and no tokens. Useful for the questions your team asks every week.

What leaves your computer

The receipts, with their conditions

0 wrong shown

On 50 sealed questions, the Conduit 0.3.10 Ask code got 39 right, showed 0 wrong, and said "I don't know" on the other 11.

Condition: one run, one 34-file folder, the set that found the faults fixed in 0.3.10, on the code two commits before release. The release notes say what those two commits changed. An "I don't know" is a miss, not a wrong answer.

78% fewer tokens

Over a 50-turn session, with Conduit holding the memory, the AI used 78% fewer context tokens than a plain session that resends the whole history, and its context stayed flat from first turn to last.

Condition: one run, one 34-file folder. The plain session got 50 of 50 right; Conduit got 47. Dollar cost at 50 turns was not lower; the gain is a context that stops growing.

0 AI calls

An exact repeat question is answered from its saved card with no AI call and no tokens.

Condition: exact repeats only. A reworded question is a new question.

Every receipt lists its method, its input and output files with their SHA-256, and what it does not show: all receipts, the 50-turn session, and the 0.3.10 release notes.

The more firms in your metro area join, the less we take. Our share of your measured savings: 20% for the first 1 to 4 firms in a metro, 18% once 5 firms have joined, 16% at 20, 14% at 50, 12% at 100, 10% at 500. The setup fee (paid up front, by firm size) and the $25 per seat monthly minimum stay the same. The first 3 founding firms in each metro keep their founding terms.
